How do I get involved?

Attend A Connecticut Family Support Council Meeting

The CT FSC members and guests typically meet on the second Thursday of each month, from 10am to noon. The location of the meetings varies. We invite you to contact any of the Council members (listed on the reverse) to get current meeting information. We welcome guests!

Get Appointed to the CT Family Support Council

There are parent / parent advocate member slots currently available. Parent Members of the CT Family Support Council must be appointed by specific members of the CT State Legislature, including the Governor and leaders of the Senate and House of Representatives. You can contact your local legislator to recommend you to the legislators making appointments, or contact the CT Family Support Council Co-chairs to obtain current information on appointments. Get To Know Your Local Family Support Networks

The Connecticut Family Support Council has created networks across the state for families raising children with disabilities. The networks facilitate communication between community family supports and state family-support leaders. We urge you to contact either the Network Coordinator or the Network Contact in your area to obtain information on local network meetings, workshops and legislative events.
